Development history

History of Kuban electrification began in the late 19th century with the commissioning of individual plants, intended for lighting of human settlements, energy and Ekaterinodar Novorossiysk elevator tram.   Until 1917, the Kuban operated 353 plants with total capacity of 13.7 MW (the largest cities in Ekaterinodar, Novorossiysk, Armavir, Yeisk, Maikop, Sochi, Anapa, Labinsk, villages Starominskoy, Krymskoy and Tuapse port). With the establishment of Soviet power in the Kuban region in April 1921 in the Kuban-Black Sea Economic Council organized Elektrootdel whose main tasks were the technical management of existing power plants, as well as their new construction.  In 1922, the capital of the Kuban founded association "Vodeltram", consisting of municipal and utility services for water supply, transport (tram) and electricity. The length of the transmission lines was 45 km, electric networks were designed for a voltage of 2 kV.
With the approval of electrification plan in the Kuban began the rapid construction of power plants, stopped the Great Patriotic War. By 1940, the total electric power capacity reached 100 MW Kuban, of which the state only 35 MW, and electricity generation in 1940 totaled 394 million kWh

In 1942 - 1943 Kuban's territory was under occupation, the power base was destroyed almost completely.

In order to restore the ruined economy of the energy of the Kuban and the further development of the Order of the People's Commissar of the USSR from power March 14, 1944 № 66 organized by the Krasnodar district energy management "Krasnodarenergo" (REU). The principal activities of RG was the production, distribution and sale of electricity and thermal energy recovery and development of energy systems, power control and supervision over the operation of power systems business of Kuban. The jurisdiction of the RG on the Rights of the independent self-supporting enterprises were power plants, substations, network areas, Energosbyt, repair-mechanical plant, the central warehouse, planning and surveying offices, industrial and research laboratory.
By 1959 the installed capacity of power throughout the Kuban was 337 MW (excluding diesel and blokstantsy).

In the late 50s - early 60s were built in the Kuban-haul transmission line voltage of 110 kV and 220 required for communication with the power of southern Russia and the Caucasus, electrified rail network edge, built Electricity Distribution facilities, electrification of rural areas reached 86%

In 1963, in accordance with the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR of 14.05.63, in the RG of the transferred business Kraykomhoza urban and rural power grids of the Kuban.

The rapid growth of electricity consumption of the national economy in 1970-1980 Kuban years has led to the construction of a large number of transmission lines and substations, switching to a higher voltage classes - 330 and 500 kV. The total length of transmission lines all the stress was about 90 000 km of 35-500 kV substations exceeded 700.

November 1, 1988, in accordance with the Council of Ministers of the USSR from 02.07.87 № 812, Krasnodar district energy management "Krasnodarenergo" was abolished, and on the basis of its subordinate enterprises and organizations established Krasnodar Production Association of Energy and Electrification "Krasnodarenergo" (POEiE " Krasnodarenergo ").

In 1993, in accordance with Russian legislation on privatization of state and municipal enterprises POEiE "Krasnodarenergo" was reorganized into OJSC "Kubanenergo", of which, except for enterprise grids, as branches were included Krasnodar TPP "Energonadzor" repair and construction company, training center, a pension holiday, summer camp. In accordance with Presidential Decree of 15.08.1992 № 923 "On organization of control of the power industry of the Russian Federation in the context of privatization," 49% of the shares of the Company in 1993 transferred to the payment of the authorized capital of RAO "UES of Russia", while the remaining 51% stake "Kubanenergo" acquired by private subscription members of the personnel of the Company and other persons entitled to benefits under the State program of privatization.

OJSC "Kubanenergo" created in order to make a profit when providing services to consumers of electricity supply and the Krasnodar Territory of the Republic of Adygea (both own generation and purchased from other manufacturers), the thermal energy of its own making - the consumers of the city of Krasnodar.
During the last 5 years in OJSC "Kubanenergo", as in the whole electricity sector, major reforms have taken place.

The main objective of reforming the Russian power - increasing the efficiency of the industry, creating the conditions for its development by stimulating investment process, ensuring reliable and uninterrupted power supply to consumers.

Electricity reform should solve the problem:

division of industry into natural monopolies (transmission and distribution, dispatching) and competitive (power generation and distribution) activities
creating an efficient system of market relations in competitive businesses,
Non-discriminatory access to services of natural monopolies,
efficient and fair government regulation of natural monopolies, which creates incentives to reduce costs and ensuring the investment attractiveness of the natural monopolies.

In the process of reform "Kubanenergo" were released from service and non-core activities and functions of the dispatch by their isolation:

function of dispatching control is transferred to OJSC "Unified Energy System Operator system"
established public companies, "Krasnodarenergoremont", "Krasnodarenergosetremont," "Holiday Home" Energetic "," Wellness Center "Flame"
Non-profit established educational institution "Training Center" Kubanenergo "in which employees of the Company and other power companies improve their skills and learn new skills.

In 2006, as a result of reorganization of OJSC"Kubanenergo" He stood out from public companies:

"Kuban Generation Company", the authorized capital of which consisted of generating capacity of the Company (Krasnodar CHP and small hydro);
"Kuban Trunk Grids", the authorized capital of which is formed of power grid facilities related to the Unified National Power Grid (220 kV and above);
"Kuban Energy Retail Company" with the functions of a supplier of electricity, as well as the purchase of electricity on the wholesale market and its delivery to final consumers.

The main activity of the Company at the present time - transmission and distribution of electric power grids of 110 kV and below for the electricity consumers of Krasnodar region and Adygea Republic. Activity of "Kubanenergo" Electricity transmission is regulated by the state in terms of fixing tariffs for electricity transmission and rates for technological connection, as well as providing non-discriminatory access of consumers to the grid.

From 1 July 2008, OJSC "Kubanenergo" is a dependent society of "IDGC Holding", received 49% of the voting shares in the succession of RAO "UES of Russia" as a result of the reorganization of the latter.
